ASCM SFV EDUCATION OFFERINGS:
ASCM San Fernando Valley chapter offers a variety of APICS educational programs tailored to meet the needs of today’s Supply Chain Professionals and students. These offerings fall in to 4 major categories:

Certification Exam Preparation Courses:
All Certification Courses are based on the APICS BOK “Body of Knowledge” and provide learners with a solid foundation of principles, best practices and terminology used in world class companies globally. These courses are suitable for students and professionals who are motived to advance their careers through professional training and certification.
Certification exam preparation classes, sponsored by the SFV chapter, are taught regularly at local universities and community colleges. “ETP state funding” for these courses may be available for qualified companies and employees. All APICS certification courses and exams are available for self-study through the SFV Chapter at discounted rates for ASCM members and non-members. Each certification course includes student participant manuals, and the online “Learning System” with quizzes, exercises and final practice exams, that can be used in preparing for the National exams. The Learning System and exams may be purchased separately or as a bundled package.
Certificates For Supply Chain Management Professionals:
Demonstrate your commitment to continuing education and stand out among the competition when you earn an ASCM certificate and digital badge.

Through this program, you'll gain a fundamental understanding of supply chain planning and how various planning levels interconnect and synchronize.

This foundational education program can help you develop key knowledge in procurement fundamentals, sourcing strategies, evaluation metrics and more.

Build knowledge in warehousing and distribution through this foundational education program developed by ASCM in partnership with Prologis.
Vocational Training Classes:
Our Essential Skills courses provide hands-on vocational training for students who want to enhance their job skills and knowledge but are not ready to pursue a professional certification. These courses are ideal for employees new to their job or those who want to advance their career by learning new skills.
Because these courses are based on the same BOK as the Certification courses they will provide students with a solid foundation for becoming certified at a later point in their career.
Our chapter currently has 5 vocational training courses offered by our college training partners to enhance employee essential skills. The courses are targeted to Inventory, Planning, Buying and Warehouse/Distribution employees. We also offer a course on Operations & Supply Chain Management for those who want to better understand the full scope of these areas. In-House Classes:
The San Fernando Valley chapter offers a complete series of instructor led in-house classes taught on-site at your company using certified APICS course materials and recognized APICS instructors. In addition, using our Foundations materials, customized classes can be developed to meet your company’s specific training & education needs in Supply Chain & Operation Management topics.
