CPIM Transformation – The NEW CPIM Version 6.0
The new, streamlined CPIM program launches in September 2017. Features and benefits of the new CPIM Version 6.0 include:

CPIM Exam Details New Version 6.0
Take the next step toward earning your CPIM designation! Candidates must pass two CPIM exams in order to become certified. By taking and passing the CPIM exams you demonstrate your commitment to your career and mastery of knowledge within a company’s global production and inventory activities.
If you are continuing on the CPIM Version 5.0 (legacy) 5-module journey, you are eligible to purchase the Version 5.0 exams, courseware and supporting products. View the phase-out timeline to ensure that you have everything you need to complete your certification in 2018.
CPIM Exam Locations
APICS exams are delivered via computer-based testing (CBT) at Pearson VUE test centers, which are located around the world.
CPIM Exam Content
The CPIM program consists of five modules with two exams, one for Part 1 and one for Part 2. Each module reflects critical areas in production and inventory management.
Module 1 – Basics of Supply Chain Management
Number of exam questions - 150 (130 operational and 20 pretest*)
Length of exam - 3.5 hours
Module 1 – Strategic Management of Resources
Module 2 – Master Planning of Resources
Module 3 – Detailed Scheduling and Planning
Module 4 – Execution and Control of Operations
Number of exam questions - 150 (130 operational and 20 pretest*) each module weighing 25%
Length of exam - 3.5 hours
Exam Scoring and Score Range
ASCM uses a scaled score methodology, which is a technique for equating scores in which the degree of difficulty varies from one exam form to the next. This ensures equivalent passing standards are maintained for each exam form. Candidates can download Understanding a Scaled Score for more information.
The CPIM score range is 200 to 350
Pass = 300-350
Fail = 200-299
